The French Revolution was caused by problems that grew and developed over decades throughout the French government, economy and society. After influence from other Europen revolutions and the American Revolution, the French were finally pushed far enough to revolt and go into a revolution against the government, Through new constitisutions, battles, fighting, revolts and new ideas, the French Revolution caused great terror throughout society for 23 years.
